Located in a low-lying area, a new two-storey office wing was designed to create a visual presence leading visitors to the main entrance.

To increase employee wellness, the existing cafeteria was renovated and a new full-service cafeteria with natural light, café and outdoor seating and relaxation room were added. Equipped with smart technology, the cafeteria can easily be transformed to host town hall meetings.

The product demand of the North American market required new controlled environment warehousing for raw materials and finished goods the size equivalent of two European football pitches to be added at the rear of the property. Multiple strategies were used to address the challenge of providing natural light in these spaces including the introduction of 63 skylights, clerestory widows, and windows 3 stories in height. Natural light for the new 2 000 m2 expansion of the existing packaging hall located in the middle of the building was brought in via a 43m long skylight. These strategies combined with other sustainable initiatives helped the GMP warehouse expansion of 7 515 m2 achieve LEED certification in 2020.
