Port of Andover Border Crossing (Perth)

This project was designed using LEED NC as a decision-making framework to have a minimal impact on the environment. Some of the implemented strategies were:
- use of building materials which are available and/or manufactured locally (eg. NB limestone cladding);
- selection of natural products requiring little or no finishes (exposed interior glulam structure; open interior – no suspended ceilings; linoleum flooring)
- use of materials with high recycled content
- building design based on planning module, sized to industry standards, in order to minimize construction waste.
