Hudson Community Centre

The building was designed to be sympathetic to the neighboring structures and inviting to the community. The new building turns to face the street and defines the site by combining with the existing Legionhall and curling rink. The programmatic requirements of a multi use reception hall, food service and teen centre were accommodated in a wood structure of residential scale. The galvanized metal roof evokes the traditional style of Quebec roofs, while the balustrades and fretwork are reminiscent of the surrounding buildings.
