K.C. Irving Hall

The building was designed to conform to the new UNB master plan developed by our firm. The building serves as the gateway to the major arrival parking area and provides a connection to the protected circulation system. The clean lines of the facades reflect the other campus buildings and define an aesthetic of functional clarity. The challenges of the building included the design of the marine biology research facility with high levels of humidity and sea water holding tanks. Special attention was required to isolate the area with vapour retardant construction.
