Price Building, Québec; Envelope restoration

Designed by our renowned predecessors, Ross & McDonald in 1928, the iconic 17 storey Art Deco Price Building in Old Québec is one of the few heritage skyscrapers in Canada, associated prominently with the city’s skyline. This major project was performed in 3 phases, including a complete restoration of the stone cladding and all 400 double-hung wood  sash windows, as well as the replacement of half of the building’s flat roofs and their copper ornamental flashings. The corroded structure was consolidated at critical locations, where subject to wind-driven rain.
