Having obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from McGill University in 1975, Fernando developed a respected reputation over 25 years, before joining DFS in 2000, where he became Partner in 2004. With 40 years of experience in architecture and conservation, Fernando is one of Canada’s foremost experts in building envelope and masonry conservation. As partner at DFS, he built a formidable architectural team specialized in the restoration of heritage and contemporary buildings.
 
Fernando has played a key role in hundreds of important large and small conservation projects. His project management skills, his passion for our built heritage, his meticulous attention to detail and materials, have all combined to make Fernando a highly respected architect and restoration expert. As Partner Emeritus, Fernando continues to provide his exceptionally valuable input to our projects. 
  
David Fish Partner Emeritus,
OAQ, AAO, FRAIC 
 
David graduated as Bachelor of Architecture from McGill University in 1966. After working in Montreal for three years, he joined his father’s firm, Ross, Fish, Duschenes & Barrett, which today operates as DFS.
 
In our Saint John, NB office, he next assumed responsibility for design of commissions in eastern Canada, including major provincial and federal government work. In 1989, David returned to Montreal, and subsequently became President of DFS. Since stepping down as President in 2004, David has applied his varied architectural expertise to many of the firm’s projects in Canada, USA and China.
